Law on the Amendment to the Law on Investment promulgated by Royal Kram No. NS/RKM/0303/009, dated 24 March 2003, was to revise and strengthen the legal framework governing investment activities in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Law amended the original Law on Investment of 1994 with the objective of clarifying, expanding, and reinforcing its provisions in order to promote and facilitate both domestic and foreign investment. It introduced enhanced definitions, procedures, and eligibility criteria for investment projects, clarified investment incentives and guarantees, and established a more comprehensive and coherent regulatory regime designed to support economic development, technological transfer, employment creation, and the efficient mobilization of capital into priority sectors of the national economy.
