On 26 May 2026, the Ministry of Commerce issued the Notification no. 1755 on the Simplification of Business Registration.
The notification serves to notify all enterprises on the issuance of the Prakas no. 044 issued on 26 May 2026 to simplify business registration works by simplifying procedures on the following matters:
- No longer accepting hard copy filing of Articles of Incorporation and replacing it with online filing and verify.gov.kh system.
- Removal of fund deposit required for company secretaries to perform their roles.
- Registration of Local Company Branch shall be conducted online and any changes to the Director of a Local Branch shall no longer require notification to the Ministry of Commerce
- Establishment of Dedicated Team on Addressing Private Sector’s requests on business registration matters. This shall include facilitation registered companies in updating their annual declaration of company enterprise through an online system as well as assisting with the recovery or updating of usernames and passwords for accessing and managing existing company information accounts.
